Upcoming Deadline of May 19th for Targeted COVID-19 Wage and Rent Subsidies

The COVID-19 support programs available to Canadian businesses were greatly reduced as of October 23, 2021 upon the conclusion of claim period 21 of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy and Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy.   However, the Federal government created targeted support programs to assist businesses that are severely impacted.  These include the Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program, the Hardest-Hit Business Recovery Program, and the Local Lockdown Program.  The due date for submitting the period 22 claim, which is the first claim period for  these targeted support programs, is May 19, 2022.  In addition, the Canada Recovery Hiring Program continues to support businesses that have hired additional workers.  To learn more about these programs please, follow the link to our article  https://dfk.ca/newsletters/view/covid-19-recovery-subsidies-for-businesses.

Please reach out to your KMSS advisor if you would like to discuss whether your business qualifies for any of these programs.
