A Maritimer at heart, Kirby was born and raised in Nova Scotia and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax in 1994. In 1997, Kirby headed west to Calgary and joined KMSS, attaining his CA designation the same year. Kirby was welcomed into the partnership in 2006.

Kirby provides a variety of accounting, tax, and business advisory services to a wide range of business owners and successful entrepreneurs. Kirby works with clients in various industries including construction, earthmoving, real estate development, investments, aviation repair, manufacturing, oilfield services, pipe fabrication, doctors, dentists, lawyers, engineering consultants, retail, self storage, security, software development, commission sales, I.T. consulting, mechanical contractors and many others.

Kirby enjoys developing strong relationships with his clients and having an open line of communication throughout the year. Accounting and tax matters are constantly evolving and become more complex, and that can feel overwhelming to our clients at times. We aim to discuss these issues in an easy to understand manner, and we are always just a phone call or e-mail away to help navigate any issues as they arise.

Kirby enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Any time spent outdoors is a great time, and they enjoy hiking, camping, biking, and skiing.
